anger management

The rage in me is spiralling out of control. I've started releasing it at inappropriate times, but I think I should try to keep a lid on that, since I'm starting to get a reputation at work as "the angry one." It's not one big thing that's happened that caused me to be so pissed off all the time, but more a whole bunch of little/normal sized things that keep building up. I'm thinking that after this week, things should start to calm down a bit. (This week is the most stressful time of the year at work!) In the meantime, I need some healthy ways to keep my temper in check. Any ideas?

Take it from someone who is always in a rage about everything from society to the weather; writing is a great way to purge yourself of your problems.

I know it's very Stepford-wifey to say, but I find that cleaning something gets out a lot of excess energy. Why don't you come help me tackle my room? Arrrgh!

For me, long walks do the trick. Very long walks. Two hour long walks. If you’re at work, run out of the building to the nearest coffee shop. Of course, buying coffee is just an excuse to step out of the office for a second. If you do buy coffee, maybe you should make it decaf.

Alternatively. take up boxing. It gives you an excuse to hit something. The only problem is containing the urge to hit something until the appropriate time.
