winter blues
10 reasons why I hate winter
1. It's bloody cold. I don't care if we live in Canada, I can't get used to -30 degrees!
2. Dressing in layers means I run out of clothes too quickly. It also means more laundry.
3. My students take 20 minutes just to get ready to go outside.
4. When it's this cold, my students don't go outside for recess. (This is much worse than #3!)
5. Outdoor sports aren't as much fun as they are in summer.
6. Too many illnesses!
7. Brushing the snow off my car.
8. My car takes 30 minutes to warm up.
9. My arthritis acts up.
10. People are too negative and miserable this time of year.

My Comments:
1) At least in Canada we are ready for the cold, I am currently in Cleveland (details in my blog) where they are most definitely NOT ready for -25 Farenheit
2) Sounds like it is time for a shopping trip and a maid...
3) Cherish the days they go outside..no matter how long it takes
4) See #3...
5) Indoor sports are way more fun though..;)
6)Sick Day!
7 & 8) Time for a remote car starter that brushes the snow off the car. My wife calls her's OBJuan.
9) getting old?
10) Again, here in Cleveland where they are not ready for the cold it is even worse. All the schols are closed due to the cold so parents are miserable that the kids are at home...
Are you one of those people who wears something once then has to wash it? Stop that and there go your laundry problems.
Other than giving the kids a quick kick out the door in whatever state of dess they might be in, I have no suggestions there.
Basically, suck it up, stroker. Winter comes around every year. Other than becoming a snowbird, there's no way to duck it.
Yeah, I know. Complaining is just so easy, though...
I believe I need to get me an ob juan to brush the snow off of my car in the mornings!!:)
I hate winter because:
* it's MUCH too cold (yes, I'm Canadian too, but you're right, it doesn't help)
* Getting all the kids at my preschool ready for outdoors...fifty bazillion layers and mittens and boots and hats and that's just one kid
*No Gardening! It's a tragic time of year, really.
